One Sample paragraph:
Cody sat comfortably, stretched out across the large black couch in the Slytherin common room in front of the fire, her black owl preached upon her knee. She slowly stroked the owls head, as her eyes darted along the words of the book, Dragon Species of Great Britain and Ireland, which lay in her lap. The owl purred at the attention he was receiving, leaning into her hand as if he were a cat. On the floor, within her reach lie a pile of books about random things; Quidditch, muggles, potions, and spells. She turned a few pages of the book then slammed it shut, making Malice fly from her knee in surprise and causing a dust cloud to fly from the pages of the book. She coughed and dropped the book to the floor, then began rummaging through the pile once more. Tossing a few boring books aside, she finally came to a book titled Curses and Counter-Curses.
“Ah-ha!” She said, aloud opening it. “Bewitch Your Friends and Befuddle Your Enemies with the Latest Revenges: Hair Loss, Jelly-Legs, Tongue-Tying, and Much, Much More.” She read happily. “Brilliant.”
After reading several chapters of the book, Cody lie it back down on the top of the pile, sighing boredly. She then pulled a piece of parchment and a book for a hard surface from her bag, along with a muggle pencil. Muggle pencils are so much easier to draw with then the quill and ink, but she would never admit to using one – or even having one with her. That’s why she never lets anyone see her drawings. Drawing is her favorite hobby besides picking on the Mudbloods and pulling pranks on people. She usually draws animals such as werewolves, hippogriffs, or dragons and sometimes she even draws people she admire. That’s another reason she doesn’t let anyone look at her drawings.
Cody sighed, tapping her pencil on the parchment, closing her eyes to think what to draw. What first came to her mind was a dragon, then a snake. A snake was perfect. Her eyes remained closed, as she thought about the details of a snake or better yet a Basilisk. Once the pencil hit the parchment, she never stopped until she was finished. The Basilisk had its mouth wide open, showing it huge fangs. Its body was coiled as if it were ready to strike. It looked like a rather vicious creature; of course making it very realistic. She added the details quickly making it seem like a perfect muggle photographic except it could be easily distinguished as a stretch. She continued to draw little details on a cave like background.
